Spring 2013 Season Kick-Off

EPIC Motion Dance Company would like to truly thank every dancer who came out to auditions and every supporter who helped us promote.  We had a great turnout of dancers and we hope everyone enjoyed the experience.  Please continue pushing, training, and growing as dancers and we hope to see you soon.

Our Spring 2013 season has officially started and we welcome a new family of diverse EPIC dancers.  We are studio-trained or YouTube-self-taught; we are tap dancers or gynmasts; we come from the North, South, East, and West and even Taiwan or Switzerland; we range from just joining EPIC this season to being here before it was even called EPIC; our brothers are Lambda’s or Pi’s; rehearsal commutes are a 10-minute walk or an hour-long train ride; our styles vary and our movements are unique; although we are different, we are still EPIC.  We have come together to share with one another and to learn and grow as a family of dancers.  We are very excited for what is to come so look out, stay updated, and prepare yourselves for this new season of EPIC Motion.

Introducing the NEW EPIC Motion

Since its founding, EPIC Motion has placed and won several east coast hip-hop dance competitions, most recently awarded 2nd place at Pride 5 Dance Competition with our Fall 2012 set. As a growing company, we continue to seek ways in which we can give opportunities to dancers of the New York community.

As we enter the Spring 2013 season, we are excited to announce a huge change. Rather than focusing on developing a competition set, EPIC will focus on individual training and growth as dancers, choreographers, and leaders. Our goals this season are to perform at venues and events in New York City and ultimately host our own professional quality showcase. Thus, although EPIC Motion will not be a competing company next season, we hope this change will give us the freedom to reach a new level.

EPIC Motion Manhattan Showing

Please join us as we showcase our Fall 2012 Performance Set for our friends and family in the Manhattan area. After months of hard work our 2012-2013 season has proudly produced an amazing set that most recently took Second place at the Pride Dance Competition in New Jersey.

The event is invite-only and FREE of charge! Space will be very limited so we ask that you register for your desired timeslot only if you intend on coming.

We will be accepting donation the day of the showing. As an independent team, our seasons our funded by the dancers themselves as well as a limited budget. Any contribution you may be able to make is appreciated and we thank you in advance for your continued support.

First Showing 8:00 – 8:25
Second Showing 8:30 – 8:55
Third Showing 9:00 – 9:25
Last Showing 9:30 – 9:55

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your showing time. Due to limited space we cannot accommodate for early arrivals (outside of our 10 minute window) – there will be ushers present to direct you on where to go.
